COURSE DESCRIPTION
Application of systems analysis and industrial
engineering to the design, planning, and analysis of
manufacturing systems. Principal topics include group technology
and cellular manufacturing systems, just-in-time, flexible
manufacturing systems and optimization strategies for discrete
parts manufacturing. Elements of systems and their interaction
with each other. Integration aspects of the elements of
manufacturing systems and the factory reference models.
